At the first start-up of ImageGlass you search in vain for a Dutch language institution. Only after a download of the corresponding “language pack” could we set it up. Initially, the program window is empty, with a button bar at the top. With a photo viewer it is of course the intention that you look at pictures and it is sufficient to pick up a random photo from your folder to be able to browse through the collection with the arrow key.
Display
With the push of a button you will also see a series of other images from that folder in miniature and as befits a photo viewer, you can also view images full screen, whether or not as a slide show. By default, each photo is shown for five seconds, but that is adjustable. You will also find buttons here to rotate or mirror the photo shown, as well as to zoom it in or out.

Settings
In the settings window you can, moreover, change more than just the standard duration of the slides. You can also set the various zoom levels yourself, determine the function of the mouse wheel, choose which file extensions you want to link to ImageGlass and which editor (s) you want to associate with the various image formats.
Extras
ImageGlass has a few handy extras on board. You can also view a specific color channel of photos, or you can add an image as a desktop background or to your lock screen with a mouse click. ImageGlass also doubles as a converter, albeit without further setting options: each image can be saved in various formats (bmp, emf, exif, gif, ico, jpg, png, tiff and wmf).

Conclusion
ImageGlass is a light-hearted photo viewer that can handle numerous image formats. You can quickly browse through your photo collection or view it as a slide show. Photos can also be easily zoomed and mirrored, but if you want to edit them, you have to use an external editor.
