iOS 14.5: This is how you print a list from the iPhone Reminders app

Finally! Starting with iOS 14.5, you can print notes from the Reminders app on your iPhone. This is useful for printing your shopping list, for example. In this tip, we’ll show you how it works.

Print reminders on your iPhone

Recently, Apple released iOS 14.5, a major interim software update for the iPhone. After updating, your Apple phone will feel completely fresh again, because all kinds of new functions have been added.

A small, but very handy is that from now on you can print lists from the Reminders app. For example, you can print a shopping list or the notes of a meeting.

This is how you print Reminders on your iPhone:

  1. Open the Reminders app and go to the list you want to print, or of course write a new note;

  2. Press the three dots at the top right of your iPhone screen and choose ‘Print’;

  3. Now choose via which printer you want to print it, how many copies you need and whether the notes should be in color or in black & white;

  4. Is everything set up correctly? Then tap ‘Print’ at the top right.

You need a printer with AirPrint support to print the list. Via the preview you can check in advance what the final print will look like.

Admittedly, Apple is very late with this feature. As far as we are concerned, it should have been possible to print your lists for much longer. Anyway, it is now possible and that is good news.

Another small bonus tip: starting with iOS 14.5, you can sort lists in the Reminders app by creation date, due date, or alphabetical order or priority. To do this, you (also) press the three dots at the top right of the screen, but then choose ‘Sort by’. Then choose the option that you find the most convenient.

Lots of news in iOS 14.5

Normally, interim iPhone updates are modest, but iOS 14.5 is an exception to the rule. The new update brings a lot of fresh functions with it. From iOS 14.5 you can, for example, use Face ID (face unlock) with a mouth mask on your iPhone, as long as you only have an Apple Watch.

Also new: you can now turn off app tracking. As a result, spy apps and websites can no longer track you over the internet. Furthermore, from iOS 14.5 you can also set another standard music app on your iPhone, such as Spotify.
