Your iPhone has a convenient way to share your Wi-Fi password with your friends. At least… your friends must be in your contacts, they must have an iPhone and your phone must be connected to WiFi. Oh yes, you must also have bluetooth turned on. Below you can read exactly how this works.

Share Wi-Fi password in iOS 16
In iOS 16, Apple is going to make it even easier to find (and then share) the Wi-Fi password. Your friends without an iPhone also benefit from this. Because you can then choose to show the password.
It’s also nice for you, because you don’t have to search for the string first if you don’t remember the password. Here’s how to share (and view) the Wi-Fi password in iOS 16.
View and Share Wi-Fi Password in iOS 16 on iPhone
- Tap ‘Settings > Wi-Fi’;
- Find your Wi-Fi network in the list and tap the information icon (the ‘i’) behind it;
- Tap ‘Password’ and enter your passcode (or use Touch ID / Face ID);
- The password will appear, press ‘Copy’ to share the password.
The password is now in your clipboard. You can now paste the password in a message (for example WhatsApp or Telegram).
