iOS 17.2 beta 4 is out: this feature will disappear from your iPhone

Apple has released another new beta! With iOS 17.2 beta 4, a new feature comes to your iPhone’s settings, but a feature also disappears. This is changing!

New test version for iOS 17.2

A new test version for iOS 17.2 is available again. In previous test versions it became clear that the Messages app and the action button of the iPhone 15 will get new functions with iOS 17.2. In addition, a completely new camera function is coming to your iPhone, but you won’t be able to use it fully for a while. With iOS 17.2 beta 4, Apple is now making two minor adjustments.

This is therefore a small update, we previously saw the biggest changes in iOS 17.2 beta 1. Apple then finally released the Diary app, an app that is there to keep track of your daily thoughts, activities and goals. The new test version of iOS 17.2 does not contain any major changes, but it does remove a notable feature from Apple Music. We will tell you everything about iOS 17.2 beta 4.

This will change in iOS 17.2 beta 4

A small adjustment in iOS 17.2 beta 4 is changing the notification sound of your iPhone. You can now choose which sound you hear when you receive a notification. You will then hear this sound in all apps that do not have their own notification sound. Previously this was never possible with the iPhone, but this is finally changing with the new test version of iOS 17.2!

Apple is making a striking change to Apple Music, because a function is disappearing there. In previous test versions of iOS 17.2, it was possible to create a shared playlist in Apple Music. Other users can then add new songs, delete songs and adjust the order of the playlist. In iOS 17.2 beta 4, Apple has removed these shared playlists.

New update will be released in December

It is not clear whether the shared playlists will return in the final version of iOS 17.2, or whether we will have to wait longer for the new feature. It is quite possible that Apple will decide to include the feature in a later iOS 17 update. It is therefore advisable not to create shared playlists yet, because that function will (temporarily) disappear in iOS 17.2 beta 4.
