During WWDC 25, Apple iOS 19 will announce for iPhone and iPados 19 for iPad. The successor to MacOS Sequoia will also be revealed. At the moment there are already some interesting iOS 19 rumors and we can expect the necessary changes.
One of the most used iPhone apps is undoubtedly the camera application. According to Jon Prosser Would the iOS 19 Camera app possibly get a new design in the style of Visionos. In addition, Apple Intelligence will be further expanded. Not only with functions, but hopefully with new languages including Dutch.
iOS 19 rumors
In recent weeks, various rumors have been leaked about the approaching software updates. For example, iOS 19 may get a completely renewed design and it contains a completely renewed camera app in the style of Visionos and we can expect a Siri-Chatbot such as Chatgpt. Below we list the current rumors for you.
Completely renewed design
Bloomberg reports That iOS 19 ‘will be one of the most dramatic software visions’ in the history of Apple. This includes design changes, new functions and more. According to the report, iOS 19 will be ‘the biggest renewal since iOS 7’ in 2013. At the time, iOS 7 introduced a dramatic redesign of the iPhone software with new icons, fonts, user interface elements and more.

iOS 19 is said to update the style of symbols, menus, apps, windows and system buttons for iPhone users. The new interface will be loosely based on Visionos. In addition, it will also “simplify the way users navigate and operate their devices,” said Mark Gurman Van Bloomberg.
Camera app with new design
The camera app for iPhone is one of the most used applications. In recent years, Apple has added various new functions including night mode, photographic styles, camera controls, spatial photos, film mode, etc. These were always stuck, Apple may want to straighten this and the camera app.
Jon Prosser would have seen a video of the renewed camera app in action. To protect his sources, he has created a new concept video showing the new design of the camera app.
The design of the camera application is probably simplified in the style of Visionos with more space for the camera image. At the top, the buttons remain visible to flash, shared photo library and live photos.
At the bottom you can only find the shutter button, changing lenses and a shortcut for recently taken photos. This includes a minimalist button to switch between the different photo and video functions.
Design adjustments for apps
Not only the camera app gets a new design. Apple may change the design of multiple apps. This rumor came about after the release of Apple’s invitations app. This has a different design than the other standard apps and is more like Visionos with transparent and rounded elements. Possibly more apps will receive these design adjustments.

Extensions for Apple Intelligence
Last year Apple Intelligence was introduced and a personal intelligence system for Mac, iPhone and iPad that combines the power of generative models with the individual context of the user. It uses Apple Silicon’s ability to understand and also generate language and images, to take action in the required apps and to start from the individual context of the user. With iOS 19, iPados 19 and macOS 16, Apple Intelligence is further expanded.
According to Mark Gurman It is unlikely that Apple will reveal pioneering new AI functions during WWDC25. Instead, it will probably explain plans to bring the current possibilities to more apps.
Siri-chatbot
Although Siri has become a lot more personal and more versatile since iOS 18.2, it would not stay there. Sources on Bloomberg Report that Apple wants to use advanced large language models (LLMs) to better compete with chatbots such as Chatgpt. Apple is now testing this internally under the name ‘LLM Siri’.

This means that Apple wants to provide Siri with a chatbot function as we know it from Chatgpt and Gemini from Google. The Chatbot version of Siri is able to have continuous conversations. This allows the assistant to perform more complex tasks and Siri responds more than a person. As a user you get the choice to use the Chatbot Siri or the traditional Siri. Due to the current delays with regard to Siri and Apple Intelligence, it could be that the Siri-Chatbot is only expected in iOS 20.
New languages for Apple Intelligence
There is a good chance that Apple Intelligence will be expanded with support for new languages. Which are currently not clear, but of course we hope for Dutch and Flemish. Apple will undoubtedly do everything to release Apple Intelligence in as many countries as possible. From iOS 18.4 and iPados 18.4 you can use Apple Intelligence in the EU.
Other innovations
For the time being, the information about iOS 19, iPados 19 and MacOS is 16 scarce. Mark Gurman van Bloomberg says That a ‘larger than normal number of functions’ planned for release in iOS 19 have been postponed until the spring of 2026. This could mean that the innovations are limited during the launch and that new functions will be rolled out over a longer period.
In the first instance there was also round appicons such as the Vision Pro and Apple Watch, but this rumor has not returned lately.

AirPods Pro 2nd generation may have the opportunity to translate live during a conversation. When a Dutch -speaking person with AirPods talks to someone who speaks Spanish, the iPhone detects the audio, translates the conversation and passes it on to the person who wears AirPods. The person who speaks Dutch can then respond and have his answer translated into Spanish and have it expressed aloud by the iPhone using the translation app.
