The iPad is available in various versions. The iPad Pro is primarily intended for the professionals and the iPad Air for users who demand a little more from their tablet. But the iPad is a great entry model. Today Apple announced the iPad 11th generation, a good tablet for a reasonable price.
The 10th generation iPad was released in 2022 and was then provided with a completely new design. In the field of design, the 11th iPad is the same as the previous generation. However, the addition of a faster processor is new and you get more storage for less money.
Unchanged design
The design of the iPad 11th generation is the same as the previous model. Then Apple had changed the design of the tablet, actually it is an iPad Air in a breacher jacket. The iPad is equipped with a 10.9-inch Liquid Retina display in an adapted housing with flat sides. The corner design is therefore reminiscent of the iPad Air and iPad Pro that also has fewer rounds.
No adjustments have been made to the screen and design. Even the colors and backgrounds are the same: silver, pink, yellow and blue.
Secured with Touch ID
Just like the previous generation, the iPad 11 in the upper button contains a fingerprint scanner for Touch ID. With this you can easily unlock the iPad, make purchases and unlock passwords.
Processor
The biggest innovation for the 11th generation iPad is to be a faster processor. Instead of an A14 chip, the iPad gets an A16 Bionic processor with Neural Engine that makes it possible to perform less complex tasks energy-efficiently.
That is nice, but one function is missing: the support for Apple Intelligence. A striking choice, do you want to use Apple’s personal intelligence system on an iPad? Then you have to opt for the latest iPad Mini, iPad Air with M1 or newer or the iPad Pro with M1 or newer.
USB-C with Apple Pencil
To charge the iPad you can use the USB-C connection. In addition to charging, you can also use external screens, hard drives and peripherals on the iPad with this port. At the back we find a smart connector so that you can also use cases and accessories with the iPad.
The iPad retains the Apple Pencil with USB-C support and does not switch to the Apple Pencil 2 or Apple Pencil Pro.
