Apple is hosting the event tonight California Streaming at 19:00 Dutch time. The iPhone 13 will almost certainly be announced here, but we can also expect a lot more news, especially in the field of hardware. Read here what we expect. you can follow the event itself via Apple’s events page and via Apple TV.

iPhone 13
The iPhone 13 probably won’t change in screen sizes from the iPhone 12. That means 5.4 inches for the mini, 6.1 inches for the normal and Pro version, and 6.7 inches for the Pro Max version. the iPhone 13. However, new colors are expected and perhaps a slightly thicker iPhone due to a larger battery and new screen technology for iPhones. The latter, called Pro Motion, is already in the iPad Pro and provides smoother transitions and animations thanks to the new (maximum) refresh rate of 120 Hertz. Now that is still 60 Hertz. Also, thanks to energy-efficient always-on mode, status information and notifications can be continuously displayed.

iPhone 13 camera and more storage
The camera is also expected to be updated with an expanded night scene mode, a video recording function with background blur, better filters and support for Apple’s ProRes codec. Finally, the internal storage of the iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max can be expanded to 1 TB.

AirPods 3 and Apple Watch Series 7
The new AirPods 3 get a new design like the AirPods Pro have, so the familiar stem is shorter and less noticeable. In addition, the battery box will be slightly larger and there will be interchangeable ‘ear tips’ in various sizes.
The new Apple Watch gets flatter sides and becomes more angular, so the screen gets bigger. Unfortunately, nothing has been leaked about new (health) sensors yet, so we can’t report anything about that right now.

iPads and MacBooks
We can hopefully also expect news in the field of an iPad mini and the entry-level iPad 9 and a new MacBook Pro with 14- and 16-inch screens. Tonight there will be more clarity about that too…
