The iPhone 14 Pro will be a lot more expensive than the iPhone 13 Pro. Wedbush Securities analyst Dan Ives reports this. He expects a price increase of $100.
iPhone 14 Pro will be more expensive than iPhone 13 Pro
For years, Apple has stuck to iPhone prices. But a price increase is lurking for the 2022 flagship. According to renowned analyst Ives, there is “probably” a $100 price increase. This applies to both the iPhone 14 Pro and the iPhone 14 Pro Max.
The regular iPhones – this year’s iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max – will remain the same price, Ives expects. This would mean that Apple asks for 809 and 909 euros respectively for these devices. A stroke of luck, because the iPhones are getting bigger. The 5.4-inch mini model disappears and a 6.7-inch Max version returns.
For the iPhone 14 Pro you have to dig extra deep into your pocket. Now the iPhone 13 Pro costs 1159 euros, but with its successor there will probably be an extra spicy price of 1259 euros. The larger iPhone 14 Pro Max then has a starting price of 1359 euros.
iPhone 14 Pro: the likely prices
So these are the likely prices of the iPhone 14:
- 6.1-inch iPhone 14: 809 euros
- 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Max: 909 euros
- 6.1-inch iPhone 14 Pro: 1259 euros
- 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Pro Max: 1359 euros
The prices we mention above are starting prices. If you opt for more storage capacity, the price may be higher.
Last week, reliable Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo already suggested that the iPhone 14 Pro models will get price increases. He didn’t specify an exact amount, but he said the retail price of the entire iPhone 14 series will rise by about 15 percent.
Bigger differences
If Ives’ statements are correct, the difference in price between a regular iPhone and a Pro iPhone will be greater. That also seems to apply to the specifications, because the iPhone 14 Pro gets impressive features – unlike the ‘regular’ iPhone 14.
