The past year has been significant for iOS gaming as Apple introduced Apple Arcade. In addition to this subscription, there are of course many other games in the App Store and there are a lot of good titles in between. These are the ten best iOS games of 2020 that you can play without a subscription.
1. Genshin Impact
When playing the giant role-playing game Genshin Impact, the same thought keeps popping up: why is this free? Of course, the makers have gachasystem has devised a clever way to let players spend money, but that does not alter the fact that there is still a gigantic game ready that you can enjoy for a long time without paying.
Genshin Impact is the most impressive free to playgame we ever downloaded from the App Store. The world is big and bursting with content and the game is beautiful to look at. Players of Nintendo Switch game The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will recognize a lot, but Genshin Impact does enough in its own way not to be flagged as a clone.
The game introduces you to twins. You play one of the two while the other is captured by a god. It’s up to you to find your brother or sister. That is only possible by going into the unknown world and becoming stronger. Fortunately, you don’t have to do that alone, because you will encounter different characters that you can also control. They all play a little differently, with their own powers.
Genshin Impact is the best iOS game of the year because it stands head and shoulders above the rest when it comes to quality, content and most importantly, fun to play.
