Is there gravity on other planets

Asker: Lenny, 11 years old

Answer

Sure, because all objects with mass attract each other.

If you were to walk around on another planet as an astronaut, that planet will attract you since both the planet and yourself have mass. This attraction is called gravity.

The gravitational pull of planets can differ greatly: on Mars, for example, you would only weigh about a third compared to what you weigh on Earth, on the moon that would be only a sixth.
