no, this is not a cockroach, but a longhorn beetle (family Cerambycidae). Identification based on a photo entails risks, at first sight I think it is the firehorn beetle Pyrrhidium sanguineum. The larvae of this beetle develop in oak wood. You may have firewood in the house, otherwise the beetle accidentally entered the house through an open window or door. This longhorn beetle will not affect dry wood in the home.
