It is weekend and Easter weekend. John Vanderaart does not write his weekly column on Pcactive.nl from Haarlem or his second home in France, but from England and hence the English -language title. That also applies a bit to his previous column about USB-C.

Easter weekend. We are in an Airbnb in Newcastle Upon Tyne, where our daughter lives and works. By boat from IJmuiden. Super early and therefore cheap. With the chatbot, by the way, a few extra tens are able to ping off, but that aside. The Airbnb in question is in a sort of back house with its own entrance in De Steeg. The neighborhood where we stayed is called North Shields. That was once found ‘by accident’, because my daughter lives somewhere on the other side of the city, but is easy to reach by metro. North Shields in the meantime is a bit sleeets, but luckily has the ferry to the ‘bustling’ South Shields across the River Tyne. Forget this for now … our problem is a bit the evening meal. We are going to walk firmly every day and about 20,000+ steps further we are exhausted. That is, there is little puff left to visit another restaurant. Obviously no worries, because just about everyone delivers everything here. On the internet you can consult the menu card, but ordering will be old -fashioned by telephone and always ticking cash. No, they don’t know home yet, here in North Shields. After which the misery starts, because what is the address of our entrance in the alley? According to the landlord there is no address, but the back door does have ‘three words’. Huh? He then showed me the app What-3-Words (what3words.com). What turns out? Every 3×3 square meters in the whole world can be captured in 3 words. You give the three words found via the aforementioned app to the meal delivery person and everything will be fine. I thought it was a strange concept that of course I immediately tried that same evening: “It works!” And of course the young man had not brought any change, so he was heavily with 3 and one-Beetje English pounds in tip … So what-3-beats!
