KDE lures Windows 7 users to Linux

With a few days left before the support of Windows 7 stops, various organizations are trying hard to snatch some users away from Microsoft’s ecosystem. The organization behind the popular desktop environment, KDE, has made a video in which it convinces users to opt for a free Linux distribution with KDE.

Four more days and then it is over and over with Windows 7. Yet there are still millions of users who are not getting ready to switch to Windows 10 or another operating system. The KDE community wants to help Windows 7 “refugees” migrate for free to a Linux distribution with KDE Plasma.

“Instead of migrating to Windows 10 and hour-long updates, breaches of privacy and annoying ads in your apps, you install a Linux operating system with Plasma,” says KDE.

“Within 30 minutes you are ready and you have all the safety and stability of a Linux system, with all the possibilities and the ease of use of Plasma.”

The organization has even made a video calling on users to switch to KDE Plasma.
