Kim Kardashian has a new app for iOS. It’s nothing more than a collection of emoji to represent her and her life, but the app is currently number 1 in the list of paid apps.
Read on after the ad.
Kimoji
It is clear that Kim Kardashian knows how to sell herself. Her iOS game Kim Kardashian: Hollywood was a huge success; she raised over $200 million through in-app purchases. In that game, players could work their way up into Kim’s world as a new model to become a celebrity.
Her new app is very different. The app is not free to download, it costs 1.99 euros. For that amount you get more than 250 stickers that you can use in chat messages. The app is aptly named Kimoji and is essentially a keyboard for iOS. Please note that the ’emoji’ are not really emoji as you know them. So they are not added to the other emoji. They are more like stickers and you send them in chat apps by copying and pasting them into the chat window. That’s exactly why a lot of people are complaining about the app’s performance, so be warned, Kardashian fans.

A lot of demand
In the app you will find her face, but there are also less recognizable pictures, such as painting nails, a donut or strawberries dipped in chocolate sauce. There are also pictures of a cartoony body in a bathing suit and you will find an emoji of Kim’s buttocks. When Kimoji entered the App Store, the demand for the app was so great that iTunes had problems with it. On Twitter, fans report that they couldn’t even load the App Store, while others couldn’t download the app at first. Kim Kardashian has apologized for breaking the App Store. The storm has now abated somewhat, although the app maintains the number 1 position of paid apps.
