What is Kundalini Yoga?
Kundalini yoga is a style of yoga that focuses particularly on the flow of primal energy. According to yoga teaching, the primal energy is understood as a sleeping snake that can be awakened through various spiritual experiences.
Now the energy can rise and different things happen in the process Chakras. Chakras are small vortices of energy that are inside and outside of our body. After a while, you will feel slight vibrations in your throat that should help you become calmer and think more clearly.

If you want to try Kundalini Yoga as a beginner: in, you should consider the following tips:
- Kundalini yoga is generally well suited for beginners, as you only perform a few assanas in a yoga sequence and these are usually easy to implement. However, you hold the individual positions much longer than with other yoga styles. The longer you are in Assana, the more intensely you will perceive it.
- While you are doing the Assana, it is important that you continue to pay attention to the rhythm of your breathing. As a beginner: it will help you if a coach or a video guides you through the sequence and reminds you of your breathing.
- Meditation exercises and mantras take up a lot of space in Kundalini Yoga. Of course, this only makes sense if you mentally engage in these spiritual practices.
- You should also be patient. If you’ve never done meditation and mantras before, it might feel a little strange or uncomfortable at first.
