Leaked renders show colorful design MacBook Air 2021

A well-known good has published renders of what the MacBook Air 2021 would be. The images show a colorful laptop that resembles the recently unveiled iMac.

MacBook Air 2021 to be seen on renders

Jon Prosser, which more often shares information about new Apple products, has leaked renders of the MacBook Air 2021. In a new episode of his YouTube show FPT, he showed the design of the laptop. What immediately stands out are the white edges around the screen. They are reminiscent of the iMac 2021. The keyboard is now white instead of black. The Air is no longer sloping, but, just like the MacBook Pro, is completely flat.

Prosser says he has seen photos of the laptop. To protect his sources, he does not share them, but has renders made. These often give a good picture of the final product, but do not necessarily correspond completely.

A few days ago, we read the rumor that the MacBook Air 2021 will be on sale in a variety of colors. Prosser confirms that information. It may be the exact same shades as the iMac 2021. That computer is available in green, yellow, orange, red, purple, blue and gray.

Prosser does take a lot of punches. For example, he’s not sure how big the bezels will be around the screen. It is also not clear which connections the laptop will have. The renders of the MacBook Air 2021 show two USB-C ports, one on each side. MagSafe may be added to that. With this magnetic connection you could charge the Air faster.

Is it a MacBook Air?

Prosser thinks this is the new MacBook Air, but is not sure. It could also be that Apple is breathing new life into the normal ‘MacBook’. That computer disappeared from the collection in 2019. Prosser rules out that it is a new MacBook Pro. That model would get more ports. We also suspect that the Pro sticks to more corporate colors.

It is not yet known when Apple will present the new MacBook Air. This will probably be in October at the earliest. We may even see the new Air in 2022. The laptop will probably run on the M2 chip. That is the successor to the M1 chip, Apple’s first proprietary processor for the Mac.
