IDIN uses the iDEAL method to log in. Convenient and safe.
iDIN
Online identification based on username and password remains difficult. Users have to invent and remember passwords over and over again. So, on the one hand, there is the risk that people will choose easy-to-remember passwords. Which are therefore also easy to guess. On the other hand, there is always the threat of losing or forgetting passwords. In short: online identification should be better, easier and safer.
That is briefly the background of iDIN. This service handles online identification differently. It is not for nothing that the spelling ‘iDIN’ resembles that of ‘iDEAL’. IDIN works in exactly the same way as iDEAL.
How IDIN works
IDIN uses the same identification method as your bank for internet banking. So whoever is a customer of ABN Amro logs in with his account number, card number and a code generated by the e.dentifier.
Safe
iDIN will certainly be a blessing for those who already regularly use internet banking. Never remember login details again. And iDIN is just as secure as iDEAL.
Banks that offer IDIN
IDIN is offered by ABN AMRO Bank, ASN Bank, ING, Rabobank, RegioBank, SNS bank and Triodos Bank. Anyone who does online banking with these banks can immediately use iDIN.
