Many relatives say that from the outside I am an exact copy of my father, so I don’t look like my mother at all. Is that possible?

Answer

Best,

Your appearance is determined by your genes. Each gene is present in two copies (we call these alleles), one you got from your father, the other from your mother. Sometimes one allele is dominant and determines the trait (e.g. eye color), sometimes both alleles work together.

You may be most like your father, but you undoubtedly also have traits of your mother. You can’t possibly be a copy of your father.
