iOS 26, iPadOS 26, macOS Tahoe, watchOS 26 and tvOS 26 include several major changes, new options and capabilities, including the Liquid Glass design. View our overview of iOS 26 tips for all the possibilities for iPhone and iPad, and with our tips for macOS Tahoe you can get the most out of your Mac.
In addition, the software updates mainly contain a lot of small changes that benefit daily use. This includes: Adaptive Power Mode for iPhone battery, clipboard history for Mac and the updated control panel for Apple Watch. Below you will find the new part of even more minor changes in iOS 26 and other software version 26.
Clipboard history in Spotlight
With access to Clipboard History in Spotlight, you can see not only the current clipboard item, but also a timeline of recently copied or cut texts and other clippings. You open this history via a button next to the search bar in Spotlight or with the keyboard shortcut command⌘ + Space followed by command⌘ + 4.
The Clipboard History mainly supports text, files and images and also works with Universal Clipboard between Apple devices.

More precise search in Photos
In Photos, there’s a new feature that makes video search results much clearer. When you search for a video in the Photos app, a relevant thumbnail from the video itself will now be shown. This thumbnail shows an appropriate image or frame that is directly related to your search query, so you can quickly recognize and select the right video without having to open it completely first.
Combating motion sickness on a Mac
Just like the iPhone and iPad, Apple has directions for moving vehicles added to the MacBook. This feature can help reduce motion sickness when riding in a moving vehicle. The screen then shows moving dots at the edges of the screen that follow the vehicle’s movements.
In this way, macOS tries to display the direction of movement, so that you are less bothered by travel or motion sickness. It is no guarantee that you will not get sick, but the addition of the moving dots does limit the conflicting signals from the senses.

Watch faces updated for Series 10 or newer
The always-on display of the Apple Watch Ultra 3, Series 10 or newer refreshes the screen every second, so that the second hand and running timers always remain visible. Even when the screen is not active. With watchOS 26, Apple has updated more watch faces so that they also show the seconds (hand) on this standby screen. This makes the time display look much more realistic.
