Moto G200, Moto G51 and Moto G31 announced, all the details at a glance

Motorola has announced the Moto G200, Moto G51 and Moto G31 in the Netherlands. The three phones range in price from €219.99 to €449.99 and they will be available in the Netherlands from December and January. We go through the most important specs with you.

Motorola Moto G200 with Snapdragon 888+

We’ll start with the most powerful phone of the three newbies and that’s the Moto G200. This phone follows the Moto G100, a top device from the Moto G series that was announced in March this year, with a number of interesting innovations.

First of all, Motorola has upgraded the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 chipset to the Snapdragon 888 Plus. That is currently Qualcomm’s most powerful chipset. The Moto G200 also gets a slightly larger screen, considerably more megapixels for the main camera and can be charged faster. Wireless charging is not possible, but we see that more often in this price range.

The phone is also suitable for Motorola’s Ready For platform. That’s Motorola’s desktop mode that lets you use your phone on your TV or monitor. Furthermore, you can now also record videos in 8K and the housing, just like the Moto G100, has a water-repellent coating.

The suggested retail price is striking. The phone costs € 50 less than the Moto G100 (€ 499.99). The Moto G200 will be available in Stellar blue from early December for a suggested retail price of €449.99.

Moto G51 with 5G

The Motorola Moto G31 and G51 are affordable phones in the budget segment. The Moto G51 runs on the Snapdragon 480, which is the chipset that makes 5G possible for budget phones. The phone also has a 50 MP sensor with Quad Pixel technology, a large 5000 mAh battery that should last for more than a day and 128 GB of storage memory.

The Moto G51 will be available in Bright Silver and Indigo Blue from early January for a suggested retail price of €279.99.

Moto G31 with OLED screen

The Motorola Moto G31 is the cheapest of the three and is strikingly the only one of the three with an OLED screen on the market. This screen does not have a higher refresh rate as the other two do. The cameras and battery are the same as those of the Moto G51, only the chipset comes from a different manufacturer.

The Moto G31 will be available from early January in Baby Blue and Mineral Gray for a suggested retail price of €219.99.

Android 11 and updates

The Moto G200, Moto G51 and Moto G31 come with Android 11, and not with the new Android 12. Fortunately, an update to Android 12 is planned, but that’s it. The improved update policy for the Moto Edge 20 series with two Android version updates is therefore not coming to these devices. The phone will also receive security updates for two years.
