Last week, Motorola announced no fewer than three new devices. In addition to the Motorola edge 40 neo, Motorola also comes with the Moto G84 5G and the Moto G54 5G. In this article you will find the specifications of these last two devices and what the differences are.

At first glance there doesn’t seem to be much difference between the Moto G84 and Moto G54. Both smartphones have a 50-megapixel main camera with optical stabilization and the camera uses 40% larger pixels than previous generations. This allows more light in, improves image quality and allows you to take photos both during the day and at night.
The devices both have a 5000mAh battery that allows the smartphones to last more than a day. TurboPower is also present in these two mobile phones. This means they can charge quickly, just like the Edge 40 Neo.
Waterproof
One point of difference is the waterproofness of the smartphones. The Motorola edge 40 neo has an IP68 value and is therefore waterproof. The Moto G84 has an IP54 value and is therefore splash-proof. The Moto G54, on the other hand, has no IP value at all, which makes a big difference.
Another big difference between the G84 and G54 are the screens. Where the G84 has an OLED screen, the G54 has an LCD screen. An OLED screen can illuminate every single pixel, providing a deeper color range with rich black tones. The LCD screen, on the other hand, does require backlighting. An LCD screen looks good in a bright environment or outdoors.

The Moto G84 5G is available from €299.99 in the colors Viva Magenta, Marshmallow Blue and Midnight Blue. The Moto G54 5G is available in two variants: 4 GB RAM / 128 GB storage for € 179.99 and 8 GB / 256 GB for € 199.99.
