Apple has named Beat Stomper the free App of the Week. The aim of the game is to reach higher and higher platforms.
Timing and jumping
Beat Stomper is essentially a fairly simple game, which relies mainly on its music and presentation. The game has a large number of unique dance numbers, which come into their own when you play with headphones. In terms of presentation, Beat Stomper distinguishes itself with a special, colorful neon look, including beautiful special effects for when you jump or punch.
The game moves vertically upwards, where you always have to time well to make sure you reach the next platform in one piece. By tapping the screen briefly, you make a jump. Hold the screen longer and your puppet will dive (‘punch’) to the platform below him. You will receive a point for each platform you reach. In between you can pick up power-ups to quickly fly up with a rocket and score extra points.
Basically Beat Stomper has no end. The only goal of this so-called endless runner is to achieve a new top score. It is therefore a fun game to play in between when you have to wait for the bus or train. You gotta love the music in the game.
