My father has brown eyes, and so does my mother-in-law. My husband and I both have blue eyes (like my mother and my father-in-law).
In high school, I learned that the blue eye gene is recessive. Two people with blue eyes, according to the -simple explained- genetic theory, could only have children with blue eyes together.
Is this the case, or is there a chance that our children have a different eye color than blue?

Answer
Dear Anneleen,
A little late, but still response. Even though this question has already been asked several times.
The answer you give yourself is correct. Your children can only have blue eyes.

Peter
