The new weather station Original remains faithful to the design with which the brand once started. The minimalist elegance is retained and new are two trendy colors: “Sand”, a soft and warm beige shade, and “mint”, a refreshing pastel green (available soon).

Thanks to high -precision sensors, the device measures temperature, humidity, air quality indoors, air pressure and noise levels in real time. • UV index and sunlight exposure are displayed on a scale of 0 to 11+: none, low, moderate, high, very high and extreme. At a high UV index the following report appears in the Netatmo Weather app:
“Without protection, skin problems can occur quickly. Protect yourself well: wear covering clothing, sunglasses and use sunscreen with a high protection factor. Be careful, even in cloudy weather.”
This warning increases awareness about the risks of sunlight exposure, especially in the summer or for people with sensitive skin.
Users also get a 24-hour preview of the expected UV index, so that they can predict risk moments and plan activities outside the home with confidence. The function offers a clear, intuitive representation of peak loads, ideal for family outings, sports activities or relaxation in the sun.
In addition, the weather station Original offers an improved sunlight analysis: users immediately see how much sunlight there is that day, the exact time of the next sun moment (sunrise or sunset), and an hour-to-hour overview of the expected sunlight percentage for the coming 24 hours. Handy for gardeners, athletes and photographers who want to tune their day to the rhythm of the sun.
• Pollen monitoring responds to the growing need of people with allergies by providing information locally and in real -time about the concentration of three pollen types: trees, weeds and grass. The levels are classified on a scale of five steps: no, low, moderate, high and very high.
With a very high pollen level, for example, the app warns:
“The air is saturated with pollen: severe allergic reactions are probably in sensitive people. It is recommended to avoid long -term outdoor activities.”
A prediction for the next three days is also available for each pollen type. In this way, users can estimate peak times in advance and adjust their activities accordingly. This information helps allergy patients to plan trips and travel with a minimum chance of health risks.
These new functions are the result of good listening to the Netatmo community. In recent years, many users asked for more detailed information about pollen, sunlight and UV-exposure.
