Netflix has now announced a new price increase. The Netherlands and Belgium remain out of harm’s way for the time being, but the question is of course for how long.

All subscriptions offered by Netflix will immediately become more expensive in the United States, Canada, Portugal and Argentina. This means that Netflix Basic (with advertising), Netflix Standard and Netflix Premium will become more expensive. The new prices in the United States are as follows:

• Netflix Basic: $7.99 per month (previously $6.99).
• Netflix Standard: $17.99 per month (previously $15.49).
• Netflix Premium: $24.99 per month (previously $22.99).
