New beta iOS 18, iPadOS 18 and macOS Sequoia 15 now available

Developers can download a new beta of iOS 18, iPadOS 18, macOS Sequoia 15, tvOS 18, watchOS 11, and visionOS 2. For public testers this test version of iOS 18, iPadOS 18, macOS Sequoia 15, tvOS 18 and watchOS 11 will be available later this summer.

The new software updates add a lot of new features and capabilities. From iOS 18 and iPadOS 18, you can use a brand new control panel, customize the home screen and more. You can also use your iPhone on a Mac running macOS Sequoia. The final version is expected later this fall.

Install beta version

Before you can receive the public betas, you must first activate the beta program on your iPhone, iPad, Mac or Apple TV. You can read in detail how to do this here. In addition, anyone can sign up for the developer betas.

Once you’re signed in, you can download the beta on your iPhone or iPad via Settings â–¸ General â–¸ Software Update. Download the beta for macOS via  â–¸ System Settings â–¸ General â–¸ Software Update. Click here for more information about updating on other devices.

We recommend only installing the betas on devices you don’t use every day. In the event of problems, a complete repair of your device may be necessary. In addition, betas slow down your device and drastically reduce battery life.

HomePod software 17 beta

As a tester, you can install a test version of the software as soon as it becomes available via Home â–¸ three dots â–¸ Home settings â–¸ Software update â–¸ HomePod beta updates.

visionOS 2 beta

Developers can use the software for Testing Apple Vision Pro in the Xcode simulator.

Downgrade iOS 18 and macOS

If you have any problems with the beta, you can choose to uninstall the beta version and go back to the last official version. Fortunately, you can easily downgrade iOS 18 and go back to the previous version of macOS.
