Since iOS 16.4 you can choose to update the underlying architecture of HomeKit to a new version. Thanks to this update, ‘the frame’ on which HomeKit works is updated and that offers some benefits.

Update HomeKit Architecture

- Open the home app on your iPhone or iPad
- Navigate to the ‘Woning’ tab
- Tap at the top of the three balls
- Choose ‘home settings’
- Go to ‘Software update’
