El Cid (season 2)

From July 15, Amazon Prime subscribers will be able to watch the second season of El Cid. This popular Spanish series once again stars Jaime Lorente. The story is set in the Middle Ages, where Ruy as a young boy tries to find his place within the monarchy. In season 1, the young man grew into a war hero. After the death of King Fernando, quite a few changes are in the pipeline within the castle hierarchy. Ruy is initially loyal to the new king, but he soon finds himself in a tricky conspiracy. A group tries to knock the new king from his crown. Which side is the young Spaniard on? This violent series is not for the faint of heart, because the episodes regularly result in a gigantic battlefield.

The Tomorrow War

As the title suggests, The Tomorrow War is set in the future. In the year 2051 to be exact. Dan Forester leads a relaxed life as a former soldier with his wife and child. When people from the future suddenly appear, the family’s life is turned upside down. These people tell that in their time there is an invasion by extraterrestrial aliens. They need the help of the present generation because the future of the human race is at stake. Dan, together with allies, prepares a war and travels through time to the year 2051. Can the summoned army save humanity? This exciting Amazon Prime original will be available on July 2.

4 Blocks (season 3)

4 Blocks is roughly the German version of Penoza. This brutal crime series is about a ‘family business’ that trades in all kinds of illegal substances. Lebanese Ali Hamady, aka Toni, acts as the leader of a gang in Berlin, but he prefers a quieter life with his wife and daughter. However, he finds it difficult to hand over the power of the Hamady clan. Because of the deep-rooted family ties, another life turns out to be almost impossible. In the third (and final) season, opponents and allies are difficult to distinguish, because the danger comes from an unexpected source. Can Toni and his family survive in the shadowy crime world? The six episodes can be seen from July 1.

After We Collided

After We Collided is a must for lovers of romantic films. Hardin and Tessa pull the plug on their relationship. Where ‘bad boy’ Hardin has trouble with his role as a single, Tessa blossoms completely. She embarks on a promising career with an internship at a publishing house and also meets the attractive colleague Trevor. The young lady really wants nothing more than to throw herself completely into a new relationship, but at the same time she can’t get Hardin out of her head. Despite their fights, Hardin is still considered the love of her life. Against their better judgement, the two try to rekindle their rambunctious relationship. After We Collided will be available July 14.

Jolt

On July 23, a new action comedy will be released on Amazon Prime Video with a very special plot. Jolt is about a gorgeous lady with a rare condition. Lindy sometimes experiences tantrums with homicidal thoughts. Fortunately, she can stop such an attack by shocking herself with an electrical device. Unfortunately, her condition gets in the way of love. One day, the young woman meets the love of her life. As soon as this man is killed in a murder, the police soon see Lindy as the prime suspect. She tries with all her strength to prove her innocence and at the same time find the real culprit. Expect a film with blood-curdling action and a good dose of humor. No trailer has been released as of yet.
