The Boys (season 3)
The popular superhero series The Boys has already arrived at season 3. Unlike many traditional superheroes, the characters from this series are known to the general public. As a result, they are more or less walking marketing objects. The government regularly hires men and women to guard cities or the airspace, for example. The authorities pay a lot for this, which makes some superheroes quite believe in themselves. They therefore behave like glorified stars. Moreover, not all superheroes have good intentions.
In season 3, group leader Homelander threatens to lose his way permanently with his unpredictable behavior. Other superheroes plot to get rid of him. Will that work? This gory action series is not for the faint of heart. Amazon Prime Video will put the new episodes online on June 3.
The Pogmentary: Born Ready
On June 17, a documentary about star football player Paul Pogba will be released on Amazon’s streaming platform. In The Pogmentary: Born Ready countless highlights of the French international pass by. Pogba is a standout both on and off the field. With his imposing body, he dominated the midfield of Manchester United for years. After this season he will leave the world famous football club on a free transfer. The midfielder is reportedly returning to Juventus. This documentary obviously contains many football fragments. In addition, there are also images from his private life. The star is the father of two young children.
The Hunting Season (season 2)
Giel de Winter, Thomas van der Vlugt and Stefan Jurriëns of StukTV will again go after famous Dutch people from 5 June. In eight brand new episodes of The Hunting Season they try to get hold of Davy Klaassen, Ruud de Wild, Hélène Hendriks, Gert Verhulst, Peter Gillis, Maxime Meiland and Ireen Wüst.
The rules are simple. The fugitive duos wear a GPS transmitter, so that the investigators can monitor the location in their StukTV bus. Furthermore, the ‘crooks’ are allowed to travel a maximum of twenty minutes per vehicle. Finally, they do not have access to money and a smartphone. SBS6 broadcasts a new episode every Saturday (from June 4 to July 23). The following morning, Amazon Prime Video subscribers can rewatch the broadcast from 9 a.m.
Fairfax (season 2)
On June 10, Amazon Prime Video will air eight brand new episodes of Fairfax online. This adult animated series follows four high school students in Los Angeles. The main characters are looking for their true identity and try all kinds of new things. They do everything they can to stand out from their contemporaries.
In the second season, Dale, Derica, Benny and Truman are once again in the spotlight, although the group of friends threatens to fall apart. Truman meets a girl via the internet, after which he seems to forget everything around him. This entertaining comedy series is packed with humor.
A Very British Scandal (season 1)
Set in the 1960s, this historical series is based on true events. The divorce between the Duke and Duchess of Argyll was big news in the United Kingdom at the time. For her beauty, Margaret dominated the tabloids for years, and publicity has only increased since her marriage to Ian Campbell. Unfortunately, the relationship soon broke down.
In 1963, Ian started a sensational divorce case that involved all sorts of painful issues. The man accused his wife of infidelity and provided evidence for this, such as explicit Polaroid photos. A Very British Scandal tastefully captures the turbulent marriage between the Duke and Duchess. The series can be seen from June 24.
