New on Amazon Prime Video: March’s Best Shows and Movies

For the mere monthly fee of 2.99 euros you have unlimited access to Amazon Prime Video. The American company publishes new titles on its own streaming service every month. Which fresh films, series and documentaries can you expect in March? This is what’s new on Amazon Prime Video.

RICO: Dream Big

Rico Verhoeven has been at the top of the kickboxing sport for years. For example, the Netherlands’ most famous martial artist has repeatedly defeated heavyweights such as Badr Hari and Ben Saddik, while he has been successfully defending his world title at the Glory Association since 2014. RICO: Dream Big shows the path the martial artist has traveled to reach the top. This four-part docuseries contains archive footage and interviews with people from his immediate environment. Of course Rico himself also speaks.

Despite all the success, Verhoeven realizes all too well at the age of 32 that there is also a life after his impressive top sport career. His ambitions are not tender, because the heavyweight is an entrepreneur and also wants to enter the film world. It is not without reason that Rico sees Jean-Claude Van Damme and Bruce Lee as his great examples. Verhoeven has already had some small film roles and is doing everything he can to succeed in Hollywood. RICO: Dream Big premieres March 4.

Star Trek: Picard (season 2)

In the second season of Star Trek: Picard the crew, led by Jean-Luc Picard, travels through time. The series thus goes back in time, namely to 2024. A lot has changed in the 24th century with rather fatal consequences. Picard and his crew travel back to the present for the first time with the goal of mending the ‘broken century’.

For this, the company travels to Los Angeles, although that is not without a struggle. A formidable opponent stands in the way of reaching the American metropolis, namely Borg Queen. There is good news for Star Trek fans, as a third season has already been announced. The ten new episodes will be phased on Amazon Prime Video from March 4.

Deep Water

Deep Water is based on the novel of the same name by American author Patricia Highsmith. The book was already released in 1957, but is now finally ripe for a film adaptation. Ben Affleck and Ana de Armas star in this erotic thriller.

Vic and Melinda seem to lead a fine life, but after a while the marriage is in jeopardy. Melinda’s desires continue to grow, with Mic having several lovers under the approving eye of Mic. Once these lovers disappear under mysterious circumstances, Vic is prime suspect number one. Deep Water can be seen from March 18.

Million Dollar Island

You may have already seen the announcement on SBS6, but from March 6th you can Million Dollar Island also on Amazon Prime Video. An hour after the broadcast on television, the relevant episode can be seen on the streaming service. The images do not appear on KIJK.

The concept of the TV show is simple. One hundred people are dropped on a desert island, with each individual wearing a wristband worth 10,000 euros. Through games, residents can win or lose wristbands. Quits can give their bracelet to someone else, making friendships an important factor. Who can last for two months and run off with the most money? Former judoka Dennis van der Geest presents this new survival program.

master

The thriller will be released on March 18th master on Amazon Prime Video. The story revolves around a New England university whose schoolhouse is rumored to be possessed. Three women have trouble finding their feet, each time ending up in strange situations.

Recently promoted Professor Gail Bishop is the first black woman to hold the position. She has to deal with freshman student Jasmine Moore. The two traits get along well. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said of the relationship between Jasmine and Professor Liv Beckman, as the two are regularly at loggerheads. The three women soon discover that the university is home to several shady businesses. How do they deal with that? No trailer has been released yet.
