Every month Netflix makes a slew of new series and films available. On iPhone we look forward to the new offer every month and pick the best tips for you. These are often new series and films, but also old favorites that appear on Netflix.

1. Maniac (season 1)

Maniac is a Netflix miniseries starring Emma Stone and Jonah Hill, directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga (True Detective, Beasts of No Nation). The special series follows two characters who are in the middle of a bizarre pharmaceutical test.

Doctor James K. Mantleray promises pills that can fix all problems in the brain, but of course it doesn’t work that simple. In the trailer you get an idea of ​​the complex effects that this test has and the special style of the series.

2. BoJack Horseman (season 5)

Although little is known about Bojack Horseman’s fifth season, the series has not disappointed us once. If you’re new to the series, BoJack Horseman follows a horse that was once the main character in a hit show, but now has an empty existence.

He turns to alcohol to drink his depression, but of course that doesn’t work. The series is often intense, but above all very funny. Pay particular attention to the many jokes that have been processed in the background.

3. The Dragon Prince / The Dragon Prince (season 1)

The Dragon Prince (or in Dutch The Dragon Prince) is a new Netflix animated series from the writer and director of the fantastic Avatar: The Last Airbender. The series is about two brothers, princes, who work with an elf to end a conflict between their two peoples. The series is made in 3d, but still has a 2d look. If the characters and story are as good as they are in Avatar, then this series should be all right.

4. Coco

Coco is a beautiful animated film from Pixar about a kid who wants to make music while the rest of the family doesn’t. As soon as he lands in the land of the dead, he goes in search of his grandfather who was a great artist. He must hurry, otherwise he will never be able to return to the living. Coco is a must-see film full of color, music and Mexican culture. Keep the tissues ready, because it is a tear jerk.

5. American Vandal (season 2)

American Vandal was a surprise last year. This mockumentary parodied true crime, by starting a search for someone who had dicks drawn on cars. The result turned out to be hilarious. The second season follows the same documentary makers, but a new case. Who made everyone at school have to defecate spontaneously?
