2. Orange is the New Black
The hit series Orange is the New Black is in its fifth season. Things get tense after Season 4’s cliffhanger. Prison is about to change and that plays a big part in the new season. The women make plans together, turn to the media and continue the uprising in prison.
Season 5 takes place over a three-day period, with a lot to happen. This won’t be the last season of Orange is the New Black, as seasons 6 and 7 have already been ordered.
3. Okay
Okja seems to be a very special film. Netflix submitted the film to the Cannes Film Festival, where the critics reacted mainly positively. The story revolves around a girl named Mija, who does everything to ensure that her boyfriend is kidnapped. That’s Okja, a huge genetically engineered beast.
Big names are associated with the film. For example, the story was written by writer and journalist Jon Ronson (The Men Who Stare at Goats, Frank) and the direction is in the hands of Korean Bong Joon-Ho, who previously took care of Snowpiercer (also seen on Netflix). . The film features actors such as Paul Dano, Tilda Swinton and Jake Gyllenhaal.

4. RoboCop
Good news for science fiction fans, because the classic RoboCop will be released on Netflix in early June. Directed by Paul Verhoeven, the 1987 film shows a dystopian Detroit in which an almost dead cop is converted into a cyborg. With his mechanical body, he is even more powerful to stop crime.
For the real fans, RoboCop 2 and RoboCop 3 will also appear on Netflix – although these are significantly lesser films, in which Verhoeven also did not direct.
All three parts can be seen on Netflix from 1 June
5. Life, Animated
In the documentary Life, Animated, we follow the energetic Owen Suskind, who suddenly turned in on himself from the age of three. His autism cut him off from everything and everyone except animated Disney movies. According to the diagnosis, he would never speak again, but through films like Aladdin and Bambi, the family suddenly turns out to be able to have conversations. Beautifully portrayed by director Roger Ross Williams, who uses new images (Owen is now in his early twenties), films of the family and animations.

6. Nobody Speak: Trails of the Free Press
There is also a new documentary in the pipeline from Netflix. Nobody Speaks revolves around Gawker Media’s case against wrestler Hulk Hogan, which ultimately killed the website. Gawker had published a video showing Hogan cheating. The wrestler took the site to court with help from billionaire Peter Thiel. He is a celebrity in the tech world as a co-founder of PayPal and early investor of Facebook.
The lawsuit was an important one because it shows how wealthy can thwart freedom of the press. There is no trailer for the movie yet.
