Fans of Dutch-language series and films will benefit greatly from Videoland. After a free trial of two weeks you can take out a subscription from € 4.99 per month. Which fresh films and series can you expect in July. This is new on Videoland.

Lost (season 1 to 6)

From 5 July, subscribers can binge watch the hit series Lost in its entirety on Videoland. On this date, all 121(!) episodes of the six available seasons will be online. In season 1, dozens of people end up on a desert island after a plane crash. It soon turns out that this is not just any tropical island, because all kinds of mysterious things are happening. For example, there is a rumor that there is a monster living in the jungle. The survivors try to make the best of it together, although some relationships are tense. In the seasons that follow, the main characters unexpectedly discover more survivors of the plane crash and some try to reach civilization in a hurry. Fans of exciting thriller series are catered for.

SWAT (season 3)

The infamous SWAT team adequately solves crimes in Los Angeles. Daniel Hondo is the man to lead the motley crew. He knows the hard life of the street like no other. Incidentally, this does not only have advantages, because he is regularly faced with diabolical dilemmas. In this third season, a terrorist commits multiple bombings in the city. The use of violent drones makes solving this case very complex. The arrival of Lieutenant Piper Lynch is therefore more than welcome to combat the threat of terrorism in the metropolis. The 21 episodes of this popular action series can be seen from 3 July.

Absentia (season 3)

Fans of the crime series Absentia can admire season 3 on Videoland from July 23. The main character Emily Byrne has been laid off by her employer, which means that she is not allowed to work for the FBI for a while. She uses the time to do fun things with her son Flynn. Unfortunately, that soon comes to an end, as an international hook hangs over her ex-husband Nick’s head. To prevent her family from further disintegrating, Emily decides to take matters into her own hands. A bold decision that doesn’t require her to count on help from the FBI. Incidentally, that might be for the better, because not everyone within this police service appears to be trustworthy. Will Emily be able to bring the case to a successful conclusion?

FC Utrecht

Sports documentaries are popping up like mushrooms. This time, football club FC Utrecht is in the spotlight in honor of its fiftieth anniversary. A camera crew followed the Domstedelingen for a whole season. Expect, among other things, unique images from the dressing room and interviews from all parts of the people’s club, where the motives of sugar daddy Frans van Seumeren will of course not be underexposed. The question is to what extent the documentary pays attention to the sensitive departure of trainer John van den Brom. You can view the answer from 20 July. No trailer has been released so far.

Churandy Martina

Dutch top sprinter Churandy Martina already participated in the 2004 Olympics and this summer he will ‘just’ be back in Japan. This documentary follows the cheerful Antillean in the run-up to his fifth (and last) Olympic tournament. The images show, among other things, how Churandy Martina lives for his sport and what impact his career has on his personal life. For example, the sprinter trains in the Netherlands, while his family lives in Curaçao. How does he deal with that distance? The documentary can be seen on Videoland from 23 July. No trailer has been released yet.
