Best iOS Games October 2019

This month we’re blasting away in an excellent mobile version of Call of Duty, save the world from evil in The Swords of Ditto and get yourself in the mood for Halloween with a quaint horror game. What are you going to play?

1. Call of Duty: Mobile

While Call of Duty: Modern Warfare scores high on consoles and PC, we have the greatest fun yet with Call of Duty: Mobile. The makers have successfully brought this series to the small screen of your iPhone, with a remarkably pleasant control and beautiful images. The game only focuses on multiplayer, but with short deathmatch games and a big battle royale mode you won’t get bored quickly.

2. The Swords of Ditto

In The Swords of Ditto, you set out on an adventure to defeat the witch Mormo. Every century this evil rises again, to shake the land of Ditto. You have four days to prepare for this fight.

The weapons in the game consist of toys that you improve with stickers. Are you going to die? Then a century later you start again with a new character. You will keep your experience, but all your toys and stickers will be lost. By mastering the combat system and finding better toys, you should eventually be able to defeat Mormo.

3. Layers of Fear

Scary games are fun to play around Halloween and few games are as scary as Layers of Fear. In the game you play as a painter who has to finish his painting. For that you have to explore a strange building where things never stay the same for long. When you turn around, the hallway you just walked through is gone. And why do you suddenly hear the piano playing? And what was moving there in the corner of your eye?

4. Rome: Total War – Alexander

After Rome: Total War, you can now get started with Alexander, a sort of standalone expansion for Rome: Total War. This time you go a little further back in time, of course in the role of Alexander the Great. The game is similar to the original game, so especially fun if you’re looking for more of the same. The game was previously available for the iPad, but you can now also just play on your iPhone.

5. King of Fighters All Star

Fighting game lovers can indulge themselves with King of Fighters Allstar on the App Store. This action game features characters from all previous games in this series. That means over two hundred fighters to choose from to take on the bad guys together. With a lot of wonderfully exaggerated action.

Apple Arcade Update

Of course, we don’t forget about Apple Arcade in our monthly game update either. We have listed the best Apple Arcade games for you. The magisterial Manifold Garden and the funny Pilgrims have recently been added to this list. We pick one:

Manifold Garden

In Manifold Garden you step into a world that does not end, but repeats itself endlessly. So do you step off a platform and fall down? Then you will come across that same platform again. In this unique world you end up in rooms where you have to solve puzzles. For that, you get the option to turn gravity in whichever direction you want.
