Apple has just officially announced a special event for September 9th upcoming. The press moment is the start of the new Apple season and will take place online. Apple is expected to announce the new iPhone 16 (Pro) and Apple Watch Series 10.
The press presentation starts at 7:00 PM Dutch time and, like previous events, can be followed live on iPhone, iPad, iPod and desktop via this pageYouTube and via the TV app on Apple TV.
Special Apple event on September 9
The special event was announced on their Events page and shared with several journalists. The presentation has already been recorded and will be shown semi-live on September 9. Some journalists and other media personalities have been invited to attend the presentation live in the Steve Jobs Theater. As always, the event has a special name or title, this time: ‘It’s Glowtime‘.
What to expect
It’s almost certain that Apple will announce the iPhone 16 (Pro), Apple Watch Series 10, Apple Watch Ultra 3, and AirPods 4th generation during this special online event. Launch dates for iOS 18, iPadOS 18, watchOS 11, and tvOS 19 will also be revealed. macOS Sequoia is likely not expected until October.
It is currently unclear whether other products will be announced, for example a cheaper AirPods model is expected and perhaps also a small update for the iPad and iPad mini 7. It is not yet clear whether Apple will announce new Macs with M4 during the September event, these may not be expected until later this year.
