Trendy design
The OPPO A17 inherits OPPO’s ultra-slim retro design with a center frame with flattened edges, giving the phone its sleek appearance. With a weight of about 189 grams and a thickness of about 8.29 mm, the OPPO A17 is easier to hold and operate. The OPPO A17 is built tough: over 130 rigorous reliability tests and 320 comprehensive quality tests are carried out on every OPPO A17 phone to test its resistance to splashes, high temperatures, high humidity, micro-drops, scratches and other common wear and tear.
The OPPO A17 is available in two color finishes: Lake Blue and Midnight Black. The back is designed using a composite processing technique, which makes the smartphone look and feel like real leather. The inner structure is embossed with light leather grain and the outer layer is covered with a UV coating. The robust housing fits comfortably in the hand and is also dust-resistant.
Screen
The screen is 6.56 inches with a resolution of HD+ (1612 x 720 pixels). The refresh rate is 60 Hz, the screen-to-body ratio is 89.8% and the brightness is 600 nit (HBM) / 480nit (Typical).
All-round performance
With a MediaTek Helio G35 mobile platform, the OPPO A17 offers efficient performance with a CPU speed of up to 2.3 GHz. It has 4 GB of RAM (working memory) and 64 GB of ROM (storage memory). With OPPO’s RAM expansion technology, the RAM capacity of the phone can be expanded by borrowing up to 4 GB⁵ of unused ROM, allowing the device to run multiple demanding apps with less lag.
Camera system
The OPPO A17 features a 50MP main camera and a 5MP selfie camera capable of taking eye-catching photos and has plenty of imaging features. These include 360° Fill Light, portrait retouch, HDR and other features that allow users to take clear selfies in dimly lit or backlit environments, as well as with enhanced skin textures for more authentic and natural photos.
Long-lasting battery
The OPPO A17 is equipped with a hefty 5,000mAh battery² that can provide 20 hours of phone calls or 20 hours of average YouTube viewing time³ when fully charged.
For those who use their phone for a long time but cannot charge it during the day, the Super Power Saving Mode on the OPPO A17 is enabled to help maximize every last bit of battery when the battery level drops to 10%. In addition, OPPO A17 also features Super Nighttime Standby that uses AI capabilities to learn users’ sleep patterns and reduce power consumption, controlling battery usage over a single night⁴ within just 2-3% of total capacity.
Improved security and efficiency with ColorOS 12.1
The OPPO A17 is designed for convenience and efficiency with OPPO’s ColorOS 12.1. Three-Finger Translate with Google Lens can quickly translate text in a screenshot to more than 100 supported languages. FlexDrop allows users to keep an additional app open in a small floating window, allowing for more effective multitasking when switching between apps. ColorOS 12.1 also includes other security features, such as Five-Grade Access Control and Photo Information Protection, to keep sensitive information safe.
