Order Nespresso coffee now with the Dutch Google Assistant

From now on you can order coffee via the Dutch Google Assistant. Nespresso has chosen the Netherlands as a test market for its deep integration with Google’s digital sidekick. In addition to ordering coffee, you can also ask for advice or check the status of your order.

In most cases, Google Assistant integrations come out first for the English version, but Nespresso has chosen the Netherlands as a test market for its new integration. The intention is to make it easier to order coffee or to ask about the status of your order. You can do this via speech, completely hands-free. You ask a question to your phone or to the Assistant on smart speakers and smart displays.

There are still a lot of functionalities associated with the Nespresso integration of the Assistant. You can also easily repeat an old order, ask for advice about coffee or a specific type of coffee. Anyone who wants to know how to descale a coffee machine from the brand can also contact the Assistant.

That is how it works

To use the Assistant features, you must first link your Nespresso account. That is the account with which you order new capsules, directly from the coffee maker itself. To link that account, say, “Hey Google, ask Nespresso to link my account.”

Once you have followed the steps and your account is linked, you can place orders or request information. Say to your phone or smart speaker, “Hey Google, Talk to Nespresso.” Then you can ask one of the following questions with a ‘Hey Google command’:

  • Ask Nespresso to order coffee
  • Ask Nespresso to repeat my last order
  • How long will it take to receive my order?
  • My package still hasn’t arrived. What should I do now?
  • How can I recycle my capsules?
  • How often should I descale my machine?
  • I have received damaged/defective products. What should I do now?
  • How can I change or cancel my order?
  • Ask Nespresso for coffee advice
  • Ask Nespresso for a delicious coffee recipe
