A hot day? Also take good care of your devices. Prevent the phone, tablet or computer from overheating.
Bad for device
A cell phone that feels very warm or a laptop that is blowing like crazy. On hot days, in the sun or in poorly ventilated areas, appliances can overheat. That is bad for the device and especially for the battery.
When is a device too hot?
If a device is overheating, you will often notice it on its own. The apps slow down, the device freezes, or the battery drains quickly. And of course: the device feels (very) warm. Some mobile devices, such as the Phone, iPad and many Android models, will notify you if the device is overheating.
Preventing Overheating Devices
The chance of overheating is greater with a telephone or tablet than with a PC or laptop. It is more difficult for a phone or tablet to dissipate its heat, because these devices do not have a built-in fan. To prevent overheating of smartphones, tablets and computers, it is important not to place the device in direct sunlight. Especially not while charging. And use the original charger/adapter for charging or as power supply. Place/place the appliance in a place where it has the space to dissipate its heat.
What to do if appliances overheat?
Does a device overheat? Then put it in a cool place. Temporarily remove the case from the mobile device and do not use heavy apps for a while. So don’t play games and don’t watch videos. It is even better not to use the device at all for a while. You can get back to work as soon as the device has cooled down.
