How healthy are people in Germany compared to other countries in the world? And where do people live healthiest? An index uses various indicators to calculate how healthy people are – as well as the overall prosperity in a country.

Each year, the Legatum Prosperity Index analyzes 167 countries around the world. The index evaluates 104 different variables in twelve categories – including health, education, personal freedoms and security. The index is an indicator of prosperity that no longer depends solely on a country’s financial success, but also on a country’s overall quality of life and development.
