Call Control bases blocking calls on its community, which at the time of writing includes some 12 million individuals. The makers call the feature CommunityIQ.
You can supplement that list with a personal block list, which allows you to exclude people from your own list. As soon as a call has been blocked, you can request the details. You’ll see an overview of the complaints from the community and any notes about the caller. You can also see how the caller scores with Spam Score and how many calls from that party were ultimately blocked by Call Control. When blocking, you decide what the phone should do: disconnect immediately or let the phone ring (and possibly go to voicemail).
Call Control has a number of additional functions. For example, you can set quiet hours so that you won’t be disturbed by incoming calls during these times. The makers have paid a lot of attention to support: on the website we find a knowledge base per platform (Android and iOS).
