The Eufy Video Doorbell Dual 2 Pro is distinguished by the 2 cameras: one for the person in view of the top camera and one for the floor in front of the door to see if something is there or is being delivered.

The bell comes with a hub or HomeBase2, which is connected to the router with a cable or via WiFi. The Homebase ensures undisturbed and therefore optimal exchange of data via a private and hidden 2.4Ghz WiFi channel. The doorbell is quite large (165 x 55 x 32 mm) because of the second camera and battery. The battery can be charged separately or continuously supplied with power via the existing bell wiring (8-24 volt bell transformer is then required). An existing mechanical or electronic gong can continue to work, the HomeBase also gives a ring signal and the connected telephone(s) also emit a sound when activated.

No connection to a cloud service is required, because the HomeBase has 16GB of internal storage, which saves on monthly costs. Many settings are possible, such as face recognition and walk-around detection. There is a short acceptable delay in the notification of the doorbell, the motion detection and the image display. Integration with Google Assistant and Apple HomeKit is available. The 2K QHD+ image quality is fine.

All in all like a doorbell with very extensive functionality and local image storage.
