The laptop is slightly larger due to the 3:2 aspect ratio, which provides more usable workspace. The 16-inch flicker-free 60Hz IPS screen (2550×1680 pixels) is particularly sharp with a rich, calibrated color reproduction (100% SRGB).

Thanks to the AMD Ryzen 7-5800H (option is 5-5600H), 16GB DDR4 memory and a 512GB NVMe PCIe SSD, this is a very good laptop for a (home) office environment. Communication is via Wi-Fi6, BT5.1, 2 x USB-A 5Gbps, 2 x USB-C 5Gbps, 1 x HDMI and a 3.5mm jack. The speakers support virtual surround sound and sound pretty good for a laptop. The webcam is 720P and sits between the F6 and F7 keys. The power button has an integrated fingerprint scanner that responds quickly and well. The keyboard has large keys with lighting and nice typing, no numeric cluster. The 14x9cm touchpad works accurately. The battery has a capacity of 84 Wh for a long working day, charging is very fast via the 135W adapter.

Nice is Windows 11 Home and no intrusive advertising software. There are smart applications for communication with other Huawei devices, such as phones, tablets and monitors; the performance can be switched between balanced and maximum via the FN+P hotkey.

In short, a laptop with a good mix of components for a fast and productive (home) office environment, including photo editing.
