Review Message box: Digital correspondence with the government

The government is increasingly sending correspondence digitally and via the so -called Message Box. To prevent you from missing important messages, you can use the Message Box app. With this you no longer have to visit the online mailbox.

The app supports the profile of one user. This means that you cannot use the app to monitor the Message Box from parents, for example. Just like with the web version, you can indicate via the app which authorities you want to receive digital communication. Read messages can be moved to an archive, so that they are no longer visible in the inbox. You can also move the messages to the trash. The logging in is based on DigiD. In practice is the biggest advantage of the app that you can receive a notification with new messages. As long as the government does not yet send substantive e-mails to your own e-mail address for safety reasons, the notification function is a handy way to stay informed of new government correspondence.
