The Moopmoop app combines the weather with traffic, so you can decide how you travel based on this. The app uses existing sources (Weeronline and Buienalarm) for weather information and indicates what weather you can expect during your trip.
For example, if you choose bicycle as a means of transport and indicate the route (consisting of starting and ending locations), Moopmoop will indicate the travel time and distance. The weather forecast is shown per unit of time in a graphic bar. You can then determine the desired departure time, for example now or in 45 minutes. In terms of weather, the app takes precipitation and wind forecast into account.
In front of the bike you can see which direction the wind is coming from and you therefore know whether you are getting wind with you, against you or from the side. The same mechanism is also available for traveling by car. In addition to the weather information, the app provides additional information. For example, traffic jam information in the area is shown and you can request current information from public transport. Handy if you ultimately decide not to travel by bike or private car.
