Because of all the graphic spectacle, this game takes up a lot of storage space. The street circuits and cars are truly a sight to behold. As soon as you start the app, you first drive a training lap. Accelerating is automatic, so in fact you only have to steer. That sounds simpler than it actually is. The race car reacts quite fiercely to swiping movements of both thumbs, so that as a new player you soon end up off the road. Fortunately, practice makes perfect, because the controls quickly get used to.
You can also enable alternative control via the settings if desired. In this case, steer by tilting the mobile device. Not going fast enough yet? Swipe up to fully depress the accelerator pedal. While racing, try to shake off the gathered police.
Because of the high speed and the beautifully designed street circuits, Need for Speed: NL is an absolute must for every motorsport enthusiast. A nice addition is that a Dutch storyline has been incorporated into the game. That makes it tempting to keep playing.
