This is reflected in the street price: from €1100. You can buy a keyboard cover separately for € 349. That makes the device more expensive than many premium laptops. This partly pays for itself in the screen quality. The large 14.6-inch OLED screen looks razor-sharp and very colorful and the 120Hz refresh rate makes the image very smooth. The supplied stylus pen is useful for making (notes) drawings. The device weighs 726 grams.
The processor is fast, the working memory is large (8 GB) and the storage memory of 128 GB can be expanded. The large battery lasts a long day and can charge quickly. You do have to arrange the charger yourself, because it has been omitted for environmental reasons.
The Android 12 software on the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra is less versatile than a computer operating system. Multitasking takes getting used to and the Android apps seem limited. Samsung’s five-year update policy is good.
