The Smart Thermostat V3+ Starter Kit from Tado we tested has both a wired and wireless variant.

smart thermostat2 smart radiator thermostatsinternet bridge 1The thermostat does not have a screen, but the current and set temperature is shown on request via LEDs in the white square housing. Just like with the Netatmo, a minimalist design. You connect it to any (modulating) boiler (an internet bridge is included) and set the desired temperature.

The system is self-learning and also monitors the weather in order to adjust the heating schedule accordingly. It also monitors the indoor and outdoor air for a healthier indoor climate.

It also has a user-friendly app and a number of useful energy-efficient functions, such as open window detection and automatic geofencing. Unfortunately, these functions are included in a paid subscription. Although the thermostat measures the temperature of one room, you can expand it with thermostats on different heating systems in the house, so that you can regulate the heat per room, which is very handy. Despite the somewhat high price and the subscription, it is highly recommended.
