Previously, TIDAL members required a separate (hi-fi) subscription to stream music in lossless audio quality. Nowadays this feature is part of the standard subscription. Conveniently, the music service offers part of its catalog in 24-bit audio with a sample rate of 192 kHz. This certainly gives owners of above-average sound equipment an advantage. The American streaming service is therefore available on various audio systems from renowned hi-fi manufacturers. Sonos, Bluesound, Roon, Naim, Denon, Teufel and Onkyo are just a small selection of the supported brands.
Furthermore, some streams have a Dolby Atmos track, so you experience a more spacious sound. You can install an app on devices with Android, iOS, macOS and Windows. There is also a web version.
The catalog says it has more than 110 million songs and hundreds of thousands of music videos, so there is a lot to choose from. TIDAL also regularly makes exclusive livestreams available.
