WhatsApp has of course been around for a while, but the makers have a new one this fall native app released in beta for the iPad.

This app is now only available through the limited TestFlight program (and therefore not through the App Store). If you are already participating in the TestFlight program, you also have access to the iPad version. You link this to your WhatsApp account via the iPhone.
How does the app compare to the native mobile app or the web version that has been available for years? The app supports specific functions of iPadOS. This way you can use the app alongside another app thanks to the support for SplitView. The iPad display is divided between two apps. In addition, you can use the app in a reduced mode, which allows you to start a video chat session picture-in-picture, among other things.
The app has a simple interface, reminiscent of the web version of the app. You can also use the specific functions that a native app also offers. Consider setting up a poll to which people can respond, but also exchanging various media such as photos and videos.
Unfortunately, the app is not yet available via the official App Store, but will be once the TestFlight program is completed.
