The Redmi Pad is a mid-range Android tablet with a number of special features such as a 60/90Hz screen, a 4-speaker system and a large 8000 mAh battery.

Redmi Pad 1 2

The solidly built model with matt metal back and glossy hard glass on the front is available in graphite grey, moonlight silver and mint green. The weight is not too heavy at 445 grams and with a thickness of just over 7 mm it fits well in the hand.

The IPS screen measures 10.6 inches with 1200 x 2000 pixels with a maximum brightness of about 400 nits. Great for indoor and outdoor use, but not in direct sunlight. Incidentally, it is certified in low light: your eyes are better protected and feel more comfortable.
The average Mediatek Helio G99 processor is teamed with enough 4GB of DDR4 memory and 128GB of storage. The existing Android 12 will receive 2 more generations or 2 years of updates and there are 3 years of security updates. There is also Wi-Fi 5, but no NFC and GPS.
The 8MP cameras are primarily for video calls and scanning and do a good job there, nice is that you can make a wide video recording during a video call. The 4 speakers with Dolby Atmos sound reasonable.
The excellent battery with 8000 mAh has a minimum operating time of 10 hours; charging with the supplied charger from 0 to 100% takes about 2 hours.

This interesting general purpose tablet with lots of extras with average specs can keep up nicely, despite not being a high-end tablet in the more expensive Android price range.
